What’s up, y'all! I hope the week treated you well. Today, I’m talking about the 100 Men vs. 1 Glorilla debate heating up feeds, pre-Met Gala content, new names shaking up the Lyst Index, and a quick trip into the wild world of Italian Brainrot.
For premium subscribers, I’m breaking down how AI’s next wave will reshape shopping (yes, the e-commerce game is about to change again) and unpacking the growing momentum behind Influencer Unions, and what it means for brands trying to stay plugged into the creator economy.
Let’s get it
FAVORITE CONTENT OF THE WEEK
100 Men vs. 1 Gorilla took the internet by storm, so the Celtics’ social team decided to gather their players’ opinions on the topic. It’s simple, turnkey, trendy content. There’s always a time and place for it in your playbook.
BRANDS, COLLABORATIONS, CULTURE
I have to start with the 100 Men vs. 1 Gorilla topic that caught fire on the internet. The content, from memes to debates, has been entertaining! Every once in a while, a topic hits social that reminds us why the internet is undefeated. There are no agendas, no think pieces (yet), just people debating something completely unserious.

It’s peak internet energy —when everyone, everywhere is in on the same joke for an entire week. In a world of serious takes and algorithms, moments like this are refreshing.
I’m taking the Gorilla btw.Lyst unveils the hottest fashion brands of 2025 so far. A few highlights that caught my eye: Loewe reached #1, ON made the list for the first time ever, and COS (considered a high street retailers) cracked the top 10. I’m not surprised by ON’s ranking at all. From well crafted collaborations (i.e. Zenadaya) and an intentional boutique strategy, the brand is taking a strong position in footwear.
Nike’s Smoke and Mirrors pack offers a clever twist on the AF1. It consists of the Nike Air Force 1 Low 'Dirty Triple White' and the Nike Air Force 1 Low 'Triple Triple Black. ' Both pairs feature scratch-away details that reveal a more beautiful sneaker.
Let’s go, Knicks! I’m admittedly a diehard Knicks fan, so I loved the collaboration post between the Knicks and the Empire State Building after they defeated the Detroit Pistons to advance to the second round. The Empire State Building is a symbol of NYC, so leaning into all things New York is a natural content lane that resonates with its audience.
As the Met Gala approaches, arguably fashion’s biggest red carpet moment, the Met Museum rolled out smart content about this year’s theme: “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” In the following video, the Met explores the concept of Dandyism from the 18th century to the present. I can’t wait for Monday. The social platforms will be on fire as everyone discusses celebrity looks on the red carpet.
